We raise money by selling annual memberships to eligible classes of women graduates from the United States Merchant Marine Academy. The memberships entitle the purchasers to nominate charitable organizations from their communities whose activities advance First10Forward’s Mission to receive First10Forward’s Annual Grant. First10Forward’s Annual Grant is made up of 100% of the proceeds from the sales of annual memberships.
The purchase of a membership also entitles the purchaser to attend the Annual First10Forward Meeting; to pitch her nominated organization to the other Members and to vote on which of the nominated organizations will receive First10Forward’s Annual Grant.
